Jakarta Vice Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidayat hoped all residents to uphold tolerance. Bhinneka Tunggal Ika (Unity in Diversity) must be implemented in everyday life.

"If there are issues, just tell us. We will serve with heart and uphold tolerance of Bhinneka Tunggal Ika," he expressed, when he attended the 9th Lebaran Betawi, in Lapangan Banteng, Sawah Besar, Central Jakarta, Saturday (8/13).

According to him, not only for the comfort and tranquility of residents, tolerance can also be a milestone of New Jakarta.

"I hope Betawian people could be more affluent, prosperous and loving environment. Together we realize New Jakarta," he stated.

During Betawi Lebaran, there are various  indigenous cultures of Jakarta. Not only music and dance, various types of culinary are also presented in the event which will last until Sunday (8/14) tomorrow.
